Client Profile: Pathfinder Wealth Consulting

The financial services industry can be a crowded and confusing place for people looking in from the outside. When Jason Wheeler of Pathfinder Wealth Consulting wanted his voice to be heard, he turned to the Business Journal for help.

About Pathfinder Wealth Consulting:

Pathfinder Wealth Consulting was founded in 2005 and specializes in comprehensive financial, estate and tax planning services, investment management, and risk management (insurance) for business owners and successful executives. It is an independent financial services firm and works with a leading independent broker/dealer in the country, Commonwealth Financial Network®, to help bring oversight and regulatory compliance with the largest array of financial products and services in the industry.

Business Challenge:

“I needed to build a brand for my locally owned company within one of the largest industries in the world, financial services,” said Jason Wheeler, the CEO of Pathfinder Wealth Consulting.

What the Business Journal did to address the challenge:

Wheeler and the Business Journal’s account team put together a comprehensive annual package of advertising services.  As new events, publications and digital offerings were introduced, the package was adjusted to help Wheeler reach his target audience.

The Results:

Wheeler said that working with the Business Journal has helped build the Pathfinder Wealth Consulting brand, something that was critical to the company’s success.

“One particularly interesting story was walking into a group of people that I did not know except for one person,” Wheeler said. “There were seven business owners and a banker in the group.  Every single person either knew my name or company name.  A few recognized that it came from the Business Journal advertising but others couldn’t recall where they ‘knew’ me from.

“I appreciate the Business Journal’s efforts in keeping the business community engaged and by doing so, I was able to build my firm’s brand in a crowded industry and market.”
