Client Profile: CloudWyze

Shaun Olsen, President/CEO of CloudWyze, Inc., turned to us when he was getting his new business off the ground. In his own words, Shaun explains how we helped him build awareness of and market CloudWyze.

About CloudWyze:

CloudWyze is a full service information technology company that specializes in developing plans to help companies simplify their IT needs. CloudWyze has become a leader in helping businesses of all sizes leverage “the Cloud” and take advantage of what it has to offer. CloudWyze offers services including Internet, hosted phone and voice, virtual desktops and servers, and system architecture, as well as managing all aspects of IT with its award-winning CloudWyze support team.

Business Challenge:

As a new brand in 2012 with a targeted business focus, we needed to ensure we could effectively accomplish three things.

  1. Market ourselves to our target audience

  2. Engage our customers through events

  3. Maintain branding to our customers

The GWBJ's Plan:

Working with a startup can be challenging as the road can often times be less defined than that of a more established company. When meeting with the Business Journal staff, I could tell they were very engaged in the local business community and, more importantly, they were current in their marketing options and avenues. In our industry, being current is hyper-important as it defines our relevancy to other companies.

The Results:

The Journal was good at defining a basic plan with consistency, adding in a few key messages, and tying it all together with some big impact items like the WilmingtonBiz Expo. Its reach is one of the best, if not the best, within our local business market and, unless you are under a rock, you have heard of CloudWyze through the Business Journal, which helps our sales force and our team speak to potential customers. As for our current customers, we’ve received feedback that when they see our name, they are proud to be working with us. The Business Journal helps keep that image with our customers.
