They come from all over the globe – from small towns in the heartland of the United States to the largest metropolitan capitals in Europe and Asia – all to study international business with us here at UNCW.
The International MBA (IMBA) program at the Cameron School of Business is a one-year, full-time, dual-degree program. In the fall semester, students study core business modules. In the spring semester, students must attend a different university based on their chosen specialization; for example, Cameron’s specialization is international finance and investments. In the summer, and if necessary the following fall, students complete a thesis related to their specialty. Class size is limited to 25 students at each partner institution, which allows for a more intimate learning experience for students. The full semester immersion in another country and the diverse nature of each class provides a true cultural experience while ensuring a close personal bond between the future professionals.
Even more dynamic than the students’ backgrounds is their future global impact upon graduation. As highlighted below, alumni from the Cameron School of Business’ international MBA program are employed globally. Students desiring employment outside of their native lands are better prepared – both possessing the credentials necessary to gain an interview as well as the necessary skills required to succeed in their chosen career at home or abroad. Some jobs currently held by IMBA graduates include:
