WITX Conference Coming To UNCW

The eighth annual WITX Conference will be held on the UNCW campus on April 7 from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The conference brings students, faculty and local technology vendors together on the UNCW campus to demonstrate the technologies they are developing and how technology is being integrated into teaching, learning and industry applications. In addition, the event brings IT professionals together to learn and share experiences related to the latest IT trends for 2011.

Last year the event had more than 300 participants with 65 percent of the attendees being IT professionals. This years conference features a keynote from Dr. Charles Severance from the University of Michigan and sessions on Cloud Computing, Security Concerns with Mobile Devices, Business Intelligence and Social Networking and Collaboration Tools. The conference exhibits are free and the sessions cost $40 a piece or $100 for three.  More information and registration is available at: http://www.uncw.edu/wilmit
