Lisa Long joined Novant Health Surgical Associates in Bolivia as a nurse practitioner, the medical group announced in a recent press release.

Long will work closely with physicians Mark Tillotson, Richard Scallion and Richard DeSandre. She “will assist the physicians in the operating room and follow up with patients throughout the recovery process,” the release sated.

“She has the ability to connect with patients on a personal level and work with the physicians to create the best plan of care,” Tillotson said. “We are very grateful to have her on our team.”

Long received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
