Info Junkie: Adam Isley

By Staff Reports, posted May 17, 2024

Adam Isley

Founder and CEO, Artemis Immersive

Adam Isley is the founder of a spatial medtech applications and experiences company called Artemis Immersive. The Ocean Isle Beach-based startup aims to simplify health education and communications, enhance planning for invasive medical procedures and redefine informed consent.

Isley is a self-described podcast junkie. “I love the access podcast platforms allow for everyday people to reach large audiences,” he said. Some of his favorite podcasts include Huberman Lab, The Joe Rogan Experience, The Ultimate Human with Gary Brecka, Expanding on Consciousness with the Monroe Institute and the Lex Fridman Podcast

Go-to reading: The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch and the Greater Wilmington Business Journal.

Kicking back and watching TV is a rarity for Isley, he said, but when he does, “The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch always draws me in,” he said.

Isley said he turns down novels in exchange for industry-related studies. “Most of my reading time is spent pouring through scientific health outcome-focused research and journals.”

One of his favorite apps is Adobe Premiere Pro. “I know that sounds strange,” he said. “It’s a video editing software, and for me, there’s something about the ability to take a vision and bring it to life with movie-studio-level realism and tools that I can’t get enough of.”

On social media: “As much as I can, I actually try to avoid social media, which is not easy. I am active on LinkedIn and post regularly.”
