Engineering Firm Promotes Van Der Vossen

Allen + Shariff Corp. promoted David Price and David Van der Vossen to the roles of president of engineering and chief operating officer of engineering, respectively.
 
Headquartered in Maryland, Allen + Shariff is a mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering firm.
 
Van der Vossen is focused on opening the firm’s newest office location in Wilmington. He started with the company as a drafter in 1993, moving up to his current COO role in which he is responsible for overseeing company operations.
 
“The President and COO of Engineering will work together to envision the company’s growth in both market sectors and locations, and to maintain the day-to-day quality operations of our staff and offices,” the company said in a news release.
 
Most recently, Van der Vossen “oversaw the firm’s COVID-19 research, education and response, providing free seminars to over 75 groups and 1,100 individuals on aerosol transmission of COVID-19 and how to reduce it using HVAC systems,” the company stated.
 
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Maryland. He became a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in2004; LEED Accredited Professional in 2006; and Certified GeoExchange Designer in 2002.
