Boys & Girls Clubs Of SENC Earns Certification For Youth Outcomes

By Staff Reports, posted Jun 2, 2026
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina received the Impact Verified certification from the Impact Genome Registry, "recognizing the organization’s commitment to delivering measurable, evidence-based outcomes across all of its programs," according to a news release.

The release added, "The peer-reviewed certification validates that Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina is not only serving youth, but achieving meaningful, data-backed results that strengthen individuals, families and the broader community. Through a rigorous review process, the Impact Genome Registry evaluated the organization’s outcomes against standardized, expert-vetted criteria aligned with global benchmarks, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals."

Among the organization’s standout outcomes: 98% of club members graduate from high school on time with a plan for the future, the release stated.

“This recognition affirms what we see every day inside our clubs: young people growing into confident, capable leaders with bright futures ahead,” stated Dawn-Michele Blalock in the release. “Earning Impact Verified certification reinforces our commitment to not just showing up for our youth, but delivering real, measurable impact that changes lives and strengthens our community.”

For the certification, programs have to demonstrate tangible progress, such as improved academic performance, increased workforce readiness and long-term stability for young people.

"For Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern North Carolina, this milestone underscores a broader commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement," according tothe release. "It also provides funders, partners and community members with trusted, third-party validation that investments in the organization are producing meaningful returns."
