The Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC) recently announced the appointment of Adrienne Moore, CEO of James E. Moore Insurance in Wilmington, as a member of its board of directors.

Moore was appointed to a two-year term on the Board during the association’s annual membership meeting in September 2024.

“It is my honor and pleasure to serve on the Board of IIANC that is so committed to independent agents,” she said. “I look forward to using my 20-plus years of insurance experience, knowledge and expertise to help in the furtherance of the board’s goals and objectives. The collaboration of this board to provide innovative solutions, support and guidance to other independent insurance agencies makes for a stronger NC agency community.

"As a third-generation independent insurance agent I understand the value of this board and its mission.”

Moore joined the James E. Moore Insurance Agency as a producer in 2009, after working as a marketing representative for UnitedHealthcare in Cary and earlier as a personal lines underwriter for Kemper in Florida.

She has earned the industry designations of CIC, CLCS, API and AINS. She served on The Hartford Personal Lines National Agent Advisory Council for eight years and as a member of the Builders Mutual National Agent Advisory Council since 2019. Additionally, Moore served on the inaugural ISU leadership council. She currently serves on their Peer Agency Owner Advisory Panel, Tech Council, and helped spearhead the ISU Steadfast AI council, which now has international members.
