Wilmington Health recently appointed a new chief financial officer, Suzy Kearns, upon the departure of prior CFO Chasity Chace.

Chace served as CFO for Wilmington Health for over 13 years, "and the organization valued and respected her service and exponential contributions to the community. Throughout her leadership, she built a strong financial foundation for Wilmington Health, as well as served as an inspirational mentor to her successor," according to a news release.

Wilmington Health CEO Jeff James announced that Kearns, former chief compliance officer for the organization, is the newly appointed chief financial officer. As CFO, Kearns will oversee the accounting, purchasing, biomedical and business office functions.

“Suzy has served as a valued asset of our organization for over eight years. She is passionate about this position and about Wilmington Health. She has impeccable integrity and is a proven leader. All who engage with her are consistently impressed by her candor, perspective on the organization and the task at hand," James stated in the release.

Before joining Wilmington Health, Kearns was a financial reporting manager for PPD Inc. Kearns graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration as well as a master's degree in accountancy from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
