Welcome Home Angel has hired Craig Wagner as its new executive director, according to a news release.
"Wagner is an accomplished nonprofit executive with nearly 15 years of charitable leadership experience," officials said in the release.
“I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity to serve and grow such an amazing mission. Wilmington and the Cape Fear Region have been tremendous supporters both with their time and donations, and we want to ensure our special families receive the help and respite they need,” Wagner said in the release.
Wagner most recently held the role of chief marketing and engagement officer/foundation executive for Lower Cape Fear LifeCare and president/CEO of United Way of Onslow County.
Welcome Home Angel, which was founded in 2007, is a nonprofit organization that provides needed relief to families of chronically ill, injured and developmentally disabled children through functional room makeovers, stated the release.
“Words can’t express how excited we are to have Craig as our next executive. After a year of dormancy due to COVID restrictions, Craig’s passion and energy will help to not only revive our organization but to grow its mission to serve more children and families,” Meg Caswell, board president, said in the release.
