Several local companies took home honors at NC TECH annual awards event Tuesday night.

This year’s NC TECH Awards took place at the Raleigh Convention Center with about 600 representatives from technology, business, education and government fields, according to the group, a nonprofit trade association.

Vantaca, a Wilmington-based firm that provides community associations with management software, won FinTech/InsurTech Company of the Year in the Technology Corporate Awards group.

Apiture CEO Chris Babcock was named Tech CEO of the Year.

The Top Tech Startups to Watch Winners included:
     • Artemis Immersive, an Ocean Isle Beach-based company that develops interactive 3D patient-facing imaging of MRI and CT scan data;
     • Financial data analytics firm Lumos Technologies; and
     • Nuream, a neuroscience research and technology company focusing on the science of sleep products.

 “North Carolina’s technology industry is vibrant and contributing to breakthroughs across many industry segments, which is why NC TECH is privileged to host these awards each year,” NC TECH President and CEO Brooks Raiford said in a news release. “The competitiveness in each category increases year over year, and while not all companies can be recognized, we thank everyone who applied and contributes to the growth of the state’s thriving ecosystem.”
