As a career counselor helping people with career transitions, Whited describes herself as a connector, so she loves “using technology to help me facilitate a connection for a client, find a new friend or fun restaurant or make some fun plans to go to a festival or event.”
 
She regularly reads the Career Developments magazine from National Career Development Association and follows LinkedIn to learn more about trends in her field. 
 
Favorite websites include the Career Thought Leaders with trends and changes for job seekers, and The Digital Lab from jeremyandmegan.com with tools for navigating selling digital products.
 
Whited’s favorite podcasts include The Inspiration Lab since it features local women; That Sounds Fun with Annie F. Downs and Work and Play with Nancy Ray, which speaks to her role as a mom, worker and Christian.
 
Favorite TV shows include Cobra Kai and Yellowstone.
 
Favorite authors include Brené Brown, Brendon Burchard and anything from Jenny Blake for soul-aligned business books including Pivot and Free Time.
 
“I love Benedict Cumberbatch, so I enjoyed the recent Doctor Strange movie and on Prime, The Electrical Life of Louis Wain,” Whited said. 
 
Her favorite apps include Scribd for audiobooks, PictureThis to identify plants in her yard and when exploring parks or hiking and Unroll.me to gain control of her inbox.
