A new food and drink festival is coming to the Port City next spring.

Feast Wilmington will debut its first Food + Drinks Festival in March. The event will feature a variety of top local chefs and mixologists along with immersive culinary experiences, according to a Monday news release.

The festival will be held over three days March 22-24 in downtown Wilmington’s Riverfront Park. It’s set to feature four main events.

A VIP Kickoff will take place on the festival’s first night, featuring immersive chef tables, specialty drinks and music for sponsors and all-access ticketholders.

The festival will feature a Brunch Elevated event, during which chefs and mixologists will put their own spin on brunch, and a Pier Party, where attendees can enjoy local seafood and other coastal fare during a night out. During a Craft + Cuisine event, local breweries will work with chefs to create unique pairings in partnership with the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance.

“This food and drinks festival is a recognition and celebration of the Wilmington region’s emergence as a culinary destination,” Rob Kaiser, publisher of Greater Wilmington Business Journal, wrote in the release. “Feast Wilmington will be an opportunity for people in our community and beyond to taste that success at fun, unique events.”

Tickets cost $500 for an all-access pass to the four events and $150 for the Pier Party. Tickets for Brunch Elevated and Craft + Cuisine cost $100 each. All tickets are currently available at 10% off until Dec. 24. Feast Wilmington will benefit the Wilmington Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance.

Wilmington Media + Marketing, the parent company of the Greater Wilmington Business Journal, WILMA and Good Life Wilmington, is producing the inaugural event. The organization hosts more than 10,000 people at a range of events each year, including the Power Breakfast Series, WilmingtonBiz Conference + Expo and WILMA Show.

“This event is a natural evolution from the events we’ve produced for the Wilmington community the past 15 years as well as our coverage of local restaurants, food and drinks in our publications and digital properties,” Kaiser wrote in the release.

Wilmington Media + Marketing hired Zoë Mathews as the director of Feast Wilmington. Mathews owns Code Ninjas Wilmington, a global kids' coding franchise, and previously developed marketing agencies and executed special events for media and film production companies.
