New Phase Of Leland Housing Development Moving Forward

By J. Elias O'Neal, posted Aug 23, 2013

Wilmington-based Penton Development’s New Home Division is moving forward with the second phase of its townhome development in Leland.

Called Shoreline at Westgate, the planned 124-unit development is making way for 16 to 18 new townhomes along Tideline Drive and Shellbank Lane, said Penton Development owner Howard A. Penton III on Thursday.

Penton said there are roughly 30 townhomes completed in the development.

Sean Skutnik, a Realtor with Wilmington-based Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, is partnering with Penton officials to help market and sell townhomes in the community.

The Shoreline at Westgate community is located in the Westgate Village development in the heart of the Leland’s burgeoning U.S. Highway 17 commercial corridor. New residences in the Shoreline at Westgate development start at $149,900, according to Penton Development’s website.
