Local, state and federal government offices will be closed for the observance of Veterans Day on Monday, but for some local services and attractions, it is business as usual.
WAVE transport operates on a normal schedule Monday, as do trash collection services. The county landfill is also open during its regular hours. The Cape Fear Museum is closed, as it is on all Mondays, but Airlie Gardens and all New Hanover County parks are open.
Banks are closed Monday in observance of the holiday.
It’s a regular school day for students at University of North Carolina Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College, but Brunswick Community College is closed for the day.
