Wells Elected To Assurex Global Board

Hal Wells IV, co-president and CEO of Wilmington-based Wells Insurance, has been elected to the board of directors of Assurex Global, according to a news release.

Assurex Global is one of the world's largest privately held commercial insurance, risk management and employee benefits brokerage groups, the release stated.

During the 2023 Global Conference in Rome, Italy, Wells joined Assurex Global's board alongside Jessica Jung of Oswald Companies and Pedro Rego of F. Rego Corretores de Seguros S.A.

Assurex Global President and CEO Dean Hildebrandt stated in the release, "We welcome these three excellent new additions to our board and look forward to their contributions in making Assurex Global an active participant in the growth of our partner firms."

"Wells is a dedicated leader with a profound commitment to the insurance industry and community involvement," the release stated. "As the CEO of Wells Insurance, Hal is at the forefront of organizational growth. His impressive track record extends to his chairmanship of UNCW Swain Center's Board, membership on the executive advisory board for the UNCW Cameron School of Business and board roles in other business and educational organizations in southeastern North Carolina."
