A fourth-generation member of the Holt Oil Co. family business has joined the firm, according to a news release.

Charles Cox, who does not yet have a title with the company, is learning all facets of the business over the next year, company officials said.

“We operate a wholesale transport fueling company, a retail convenience company, a franchised foodservice company and a real estate leasing company,” a company official said in an email. “So, we are hoping for him to get his feet wet in the various operations before we decide where he will land.”

Holt Oil Co. Inc. is comprised of three corporations: Holt Real Estate Inc., Holt Transport Inc. and Holt Cstore Inc.

Cox came from Morgan Stanley, where he “was the Legacy Group’s liaison between the clients and the Group, for everyday smooth requests and outreaches,” officials said. He began working in the investment business with Fidelity Investments, giving guidance to participants in large 401(k) plans, officials said.

Cox moved from Raleigh to Wilmington to join the business. He is a North Carolina native and a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
