Eileen Stammetti has been named the general sales manager of WECT, according to a news release.

Stammetti has replaced Mark Mendenhall, who was promoted as WECT’s vice president and general manager in March. She joined WECT in 2014 as the local sales manager.
 
“Eileen has done a great job leading our local sales efforts as Local Sales Manager over the past 4 years and is unquestionably ready to take the next step in leading our overall sales efforts,” Mendenhall said in the release. “Her relationships and knowledge of the market will help take us to new levels on sales front.”

Stammetti has been working in broadcast media since 1985. Prior to working at WECT, she served as multi-media sales manager at WFMY-TV in Greensboro. 

“I've enjoyed helping local businesses grow over the past four years through WECT. Our region is quickly expanding, and so are we,” Stammetti said in the release. “We’re embarking on an exciting new frontier of offering more opportunities to clients as we continue to expand news and weather on more platforms.”
