Burgwin-Wright House Promotes New Museum Director

Christine Lamberton has been promoted to museum director of the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens, where she has worked since June, 2013 as museum manager.
 
Lamberton’s responsibilities as director include research, supervision of museum staff and interns and the development of educational programs and community events.
 
Lamberton received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from East Carolina University. Subsequently she attended University of North Carolina Wilmington and obtained her master's degree in history with a concentration in museum education and historic houses.
 
Lamberton also works part-time at UNCW as a history instructor.
 
Meanwhile a student at UNCW, Hope Trent, has begun a writing internship for the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in the State of North Carolina, headquartered at the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens.
