Just before the start of the new academic year, Cape Fear Academy added two new administrators.

Jamison Fee is the new director of college counseling, according to a news release, which stated that Fee has spent the last ten years as director of college counseling at The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. Prior to that he taught U.S. History and coached lacrosse and cross country for Pope John Paul II High School and also served in admissions at the Vanderbilt University Divinity School.  He earned his B.A. in U.S. History from Lipscomb University and his M. Div. degree from Vanderbilt University.

Nelda Nutter (at left) has been appointed director of admission, replacing Carla Whitwell who is now CFA’s director of middle school, the release stated. Nutter was most recently at Norfolk Collegiate in Norfolk, Virginia, having served as the school’s director of enrollment since 2010.  She has “extensive experience” in independent school management including serving as the head at two schools, according to the release.

Nutter earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English and a bachelor’s degree in political science from James Madison University.
