Physician C. Patrick Craig recently joined New Hanover Medical Group-NHRMC Physician Group.

Craig is board certified in internal medicine and was most recently co-chief resident at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, according to a news release.

Before his residency at ECU, Craig worked as a gross anatomy teaching assistant and prosector at Lincoln Memorial University’s Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He was also a research assistant at the UNC School of Medicine and the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health in Chapel Hill.
 
Craig received a doctoral degree from DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University and a dual bachelor’s degree in anthropology and biology from UNC. He is certified to practice both inpatient and outpatient care, the release stated.

He began seeing patients at New Hanover Medical Group on July 1.
 
“Dr. Craig is a valuable addition to our team and will further our mission of providing a high standard of care to patients as our region continues to grow,” Jeffrey Warhaftig, president of New Hanover Medical Group, said in a statement.
