Banking software company nCino plans to expand in an office building in the Mayfaire area as a law firm prepares to move out to downtown Wilmington.

Spokeswoman Kathryn Cook said in an email that nCino "will be leasing approximately 17,000 more square feet on the 3rd floor of 6770 Parker Farm Drive in order to accommodate our growing workforce. We anticipate moving into the additional space this summer."

In February, the company announced that it continues to grow and add new features to its Bank Operating System, including an automated loan decision tool. The firm ended 2016 with more than 130 financial institutions in its portfolio and a workforce of 265 employees, up by more than 100 from 2015, when it moved its headquarters into the Parker Farm Drive building.

Meanwhile third-floor occupant at the Parker Farm Drive building, law firm Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo LLP, has leased 12,370 square feet on the fourth floor of the Third and Grace office building downtown at 300 N. Third St (pictured below), according to an announcement from Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial.

Mike Brown and Vin Wells of CFC represented the landlord, Third and Grace LLC, in the downtown lease transaction with the law firm. Jim Thorp, managing director with Jones Lange LaSalle’s Charlotte office, represented the tenant.

Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo's Wilmington office has 11 attorneys and is one of three North Carolina locations, the CFC news release said.

“We are very excited that Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo has decided to become a part of downtown Wilmington’s growing professional community,” said Brown in the announcement. “I enjoyed working with their team, including Jim Thorpe with JLL and I look forward to their future success at Third and Grace.”

Cape Fear Commercial has served as the leasing agent and property managers for Third and Grace for more than 10 years. The Class A office building is one of the only buildings in the downtown area to feature its own private parking lot, the announcement said.

“Our Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo team is looking forward to the move to Third and Grace,” said Wilmington office Managing Partner Justin Robertson, in the news release. “We are excited to be a part of the new growth that is booming in downtown Wilmington.”

The law firm has nearly 90 attorneys in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington and Columbia, South Carolina.
