Johnson Joins Area Hospice Organization

Corda Johnson, a certified registered nurse practitioner, has joined Lower Cape Fear Hospice as a hospice and palliative care nurse practitioner. In this position, she provides direct patient care for patients at the Dr. Robert M. Fales Hospice Pavilion in Wilmington, the organization stated in a recent news release.
 
Johnson received a master's degree in acute care and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland. She has worked as an acute care nurse for more than 15 years, predominantly with cardiology, oncology and stroke patients, the release stated.
 
Lower Cape Fear Hospice is a nonprofit agency that provides health care and comfort to people with advanced illnesses; support and counseling to families; and education in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, Onslow and Pender counties.
