Circa 1922, a longtime staple of the Front Street dining scene, will celebrate 20 years in business this week. In honor of the anniversary, the restaurant is featuring a special menu from Saturday through March 5 for $24 per person.
“We’re excited to celebrate with this special menu that is really a very good deal," said general manager Julia Ross.
The three-course dinner menu features a choice of appetizer or salad from several of the restaurants most popular tapas-style plates, including pork and shrimp spring rolls, crispy calamari, organic greens or Caesar salad, and roasted beet salad.
Entree options include crispy skin salmon, pan-seared flounder, duck confit and braised short ribs, among others. The third course will feature a daily chef’s choice dessert.
The anniversary menu also includes wine priced from $15 to $22. Additional select bottles of wine will be half price throughout the week.
“Twenty years is a long time for a restaurant to be in business,” said Circa owner Ash Aziz. “I’m thankful for our team as well as the community’s support for all these years. The staff and I look forward to serving our guests well into the future.”
Just two weeks ago, Circa launched a brunch service Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a wide range of breakfast and lunch items. Guests will find everything from benedicts and omelets, crème brulee French toast and Nutella crepes to fish sandwiches and burgers.
“We wanted to be sure we had a sizable brunch menu to satisfy as many people as possible,” Ross said.
During brunch Circa is offering $5 mimosas and craft mimosa flights with fresh squeezed fruit juices and a bottle of champagne, allowing guests to prepare the drinks to their liking. There are also $7 Bloody Mary’s, and several international spiked coffees.
Circa can accommodate large parties for brunch and reservations for parties of all sizes are encouraged.
Circa 1922 is located at 8 N. Front St. in downtown Wilmington.
