As part of its monthly brewery series, Fermental will feature Brooklyn Brewery of Brooklyn, New York, for an evening of tastings, giveaways, live music and food trucks at 6 p.m. July 22.

Established by home brewing veterans Steve Hindy and Tom Potter, Brooklyn Brewery began in 1988 with flagship beer Brooklyn Lager, an award winner that remains the brewery's bestseller.

Brooklyn Brewery has grown to a production of more than 200,000 barrels per year and maintains a portfolio of nearly 200 different beers under the direction of head brew master Garrett Oliver.

In conjunction with Brooklyn Brewery’s visit, Fermental will also welcome north Wilmington neighbor Brookelynn Cigars, which will offer a selection and sampling of tobacco goods in the beer garden. Also available for tasting will be pickled goods from Brooklyn Brine, a Brooklyn, New York-based company specializing in whiskey sour pickles and maple bourbon pickles.

Brooklyn Brewery staffers will be on site serving a variety of beers on draft throughout the evening, including limited releases and everyday favorites. Guests can enjoy live music from Jessie Strassel & Friends and food from the Soulful Twist Food Truck.

Fermental is located at 7250 Market Street.
