In July, 28 luxury homes were newly listed in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties, two of them ranking as the most expensive on the market.
The property at 7422 Sea Lily Lane is listed for $8.2 million, while the home at 7509 Masonboro Sound Road has an asking price of more than $6.7 million.
If sold, the New Hanover County properties would be the second- and third-most expensive homes to sell in the tri-county area since 1987, the first year recorded in the current MLS database, according to a recent luxury market report.
The report, compiled from MLS statistics by Kathleen Baylies, broker-in-charge at Just For Buyers Realty in Wilmington, said the highest sale price since 1987 was $9.7 million in 2012 for a Bald Head Island house.
“There are currently 246 homes on the market with asking prices at or above $1 million in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties,” Baylies wrote.
