A locally founded real estate firm has opened a third office on Pleasure Island.

The new space for Coastwalk Real Estate, started in 1996 by Annie Bowman and currently owned by Justin Donaton, is located at 105 Tennessee Ave. in Carolina Beach.

“All of our offices are kind of like boutique-style shops, and we feel it’s important to kind of preserve that environment physically. We’ve had a handful of great agents wanting to join our company, so in response to that, we determined we needed to find an equally great location for them to grow their business under our flag,” said Donaton, who bought the firm in 2007.

Real estate veteran Shawndy Linquist will oversee the new six-agent office as its broker in charge.

In addition to three offices on Pleasure Island, Coastwalk has a Wilmington office at 4037 Masonboro Loop Road. The company includes 36 agents, Donaton said, with half of its business coming from Carolina and Kure beaches and the other half from Wilmington.
