Tenants Lease Parts Of Former Century 21 HQ

By Cece Nunn, posted Sep 8, 2014
Two tenants are currently occupying offices vacated by Century 21 Sweyer & Associates last year, the property's leasing agent said Monday.

Guaranteed Rate, a mortgage company, moved in to 1,850 square feet of space in the building at 1630 Military Cutoff Road in August while Mass Mutual Financial Group leased 3,600 square feet and had a June move-in, said Peter Sweyer, broker with Century 21 Sweyer & Associates.

Originally, the 13,000-square-foot building was up for sale or lease.

“We were exploring both options at the same time, and it was something we had put out there to kind of get a sense of where the market was on the sale side of things,” said Peter Sweyer, leasing agent for 1630 Military Cutoff Road. “But after a short period of time, we determined to move forward with taking it off the sales market and leasing it.”

Sweyer said the listing continues to generate a lot of interest, receiving two to three inquiries a week from potential leasees.

“It’s a unique location in the Military Cutoff corridor because it’s right at the entrance, so the traffic counts are just phenomenal,” he said, estimating the count at 45,000 vehicles per day. “We’re optimistic that we should get the building fully leased up.”

Century 21 Sweyer & Associates announced at the end of 2012 that the expanding company’s headquarters would be relocating a short distance to 1612 Military Cutoff Road, along with CAMS, a community association management company.

The newer location has more than twice the space. Century 21 Sweyer has seen continued growth this year, merging with Century 21 Brock & Associates in May.
