The Masonboro Yacht Club & Marina and the Whiskey Creek Overlook development are now for sale.

Brian Eckel, co-founder of Wilmington-based Cape Fear Commercial, said Friday that the two waterfront properties off Masonboro Loop Road in Wilmington were recently placed on the market.

No price has been set for either asset, according to a news release.

Eckel, along with fellow brokers Hank Miller and Paul Loukas, listed the properties for sale.

Located on Trails End Road along the Intracoastal Waterway, the Masonboro Yacht Club & Marina is for purchase in bulk.

Eckel said the marina was currently open for business.

Established in 1967, the marina has 103 wet slips, 86 dry slips and a clubhouse, the release stated. The 20 wet slips and 34 dry slips for sale range from 22 to 60 linear feet.

In the release, Eckel said the property has undergone extensive renovations over the past several years, noting that the marina is also one of several in the area certified as a Clean Marina, which is a voluntary program that recognizes marinas for their efforts toward environmental responsibility.

The brokerage firm is also marketing Whiskey Creek Overlook, a stalled seven-lot residential waterfront subdivision with boat slips along Whiskey Creek.

Eckel said the subdivision, which is owned by Troy-based First Bank, has received many inquiries because of the site’s location.

Cape Fear Commercial is no stranger to the unrolling bank-owned portfolios of defunct or stalled housing developments.

The Wilmington brokerage firm has closed on six subdivisions, including Andrews Reach and Stones Edge in Wilmington, Hawkeswater in Leland, Southwynde in Southport, Diamond Point in Surf City and Trenny Lea in Hampstead.
