Design on Display at Parade of Homes

Sponsored Content provided by Markraft Cabinets - ,

Markraft Cabinets has built its business, in large part, through the support of area builders.

So, it’s no surprise they like to give back to the local industry whenever they can.

Markraft will once again participate in the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association’s Parade of Homes as both a Silver-level and “Best Kitchen” sponsor. This year’s event is set for April 27-28 and May 4-5.

This annual showcase is a great opportunity to see the best the residential community has to offer, including the latest and finest products from Markraft.

In years past, Markraft’s products have been featured in well over half of the Parade homes, and it’s likely the same will be true of this year’s 70 stops.

Beyond showcasing trends – like gray cabinetry and quartz countertops – Markraft also embraces Parade of Homes as a chance to support area builders.

“We have always been a big supporter,” Markraft President Cee Edwards noted. “Our business has grown to what it is due to our residential customers but also the strong relationships we have with our builders.”

Parade of Homes is the local residential construction industry’s largest annual event. A panel of judges evaluate the entries and award top builders in categories based on price range. All homes entered in the Parade must have been built within the last year.

That’s a win-win for event-goers, who can expect to see cutting-edge trends, trimmings and technology in brand new homes only featured in Parade of Homes one time.

If you haven’t yet visited Markraft, consider the Parade of Homes as a mobile showroom of sorts, where you can not only browse the various styles of cabinets, countertops and hardware for kitchens and bathrooms but can also envision what those may look in your own house.

“This gives people the chance to really see what we do. They can get ideas and see our cabinets actually installed within a space,” Cee said.

Installed with no smoke or mirrors, it’s worth noting. Since Markraft does not know ahead of time which homes will be featured during each year’s Parade of Homes, what participants will see is the quality craftmanship and eye for detail Markraft and its staff have been delivering for more than 30 years.

Check out Markraft’s work during the Parade of Homes, then visit their Design Studio at 2705 Castle Creek Lane, just off Castle Hayne Road. Markraft’s professional kitchen and bath designers consult by appointment but drop-in visitors are always welcome to browse the showroom, open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday.
