At Markraft, Renovating Is As Easy As 1-2-3

Tired of your outdated kitchen? Is your bathroom in need of new life?

Even if you know it’s time for home improvements, the thought of a renovation project can be so overwhelming you might not know where to begin.

Never fear – that’s why Markraft Cabinets is here.

Markraft makes the process of renovating your kitchen and bathroom as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Let’s Get Started

The first step is quite simple – give Markraft a call to schedule your initial consultation.

While there, one of their expert designers will help you pin down what it is you want in your new design… and, perhaps more importantly, what you don’t want.

After the basic concept is formed, a Markraft designer will come out to your home to look at the space in person and take measurements.

“We do that for you,” Markraft designer Amanda Fisher noted.

Once the designer has what he or she needs, it’s on to the next step.

2. Visualize It

There’s no verbal description or piecing together of pictures that can match actually seeing your design come to life.

Through computer-aided drafting, or CAD, technology, Markraft can create a 3D image of your new kitchen or bathroom.

“It gives you a really good idea of what it will look like,” Amanda said.

You’ll see this image at your next meeting with your designer, where you’ll also get product and installation estimates to be sure they fall within your budget.

This is also a good time to make any alterations to the design. If you’re not sure you picked the best cabinets for your kitchen, for example, the designer can easily swap out styles and colors on the CAD image, so you can instantly see the difference. Markraft will even print out a photo or send you a digital file, so you can be sure the paint and fixtures fit in with the rest of your home’s décor.

“We go through it as much as we need to until you’re happy,” Amanda said.

3. Get To Work

Here comes the part everyone dreads – construction.

But Markraft makes it as painless – and quick – as possible. Their skilled team can take on nearly all your construction work, excepting major projects like the removal of a load-bearing wall.

Markraft will paint and install tile and backsplash, for example. What’s more, when additional work requires a contractor, Markraft has a full-time contract coordinator who schedules everything for you.

“You don’t have to call different people to schedule different things,” Amanda explained. “You just have to let us know when we can send someone out.”

Having someone who is knowledgeable about construction and contracting manage the project naturally means you will save money, as well as time. It usually takes three to six weeks to tear up and replace a kitchen, depending on the scope of work – much less time than it would take if you were constantly juggling contractors and keeping up with the project schedule yourself.

And that leads to another simple step Markraft has incorporated into their 1-2-3 approach – one-stop shopping for complementary pieces.

“You can purchase everything through us, except for appliances, though in some cases, we can help with that through our good relationships with area businesses,” Amanda said. “You don’t have to go to a lighting store, then to a plumbing store and on and on; you can buy everything in one place.”

Let Markraft show you just how easy remodeling can be. Designers consult by appointment but drop-in visitors are always welcome to stop by and browse the showroom. The Markraft Design Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 2705 Castle Creek Lane just off Castle Hayne Road.
