PPD Names Hureau As CFO

PPD this week announced that Robert Hureau will be the company's executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Hureau, who will be based at PPD's Wilmington headquarters, starts Sept. 23, according to a news release.

He has 25 years of experience and financial expertise in medical technology/life sciences, manufacturing and consumer sectors, the release stated.
 
Hureau was most recently executive vice president and CFO for the global medical technology company Centaur Guernsey L.P. Inc. He also has held senior leadership  positions at Sensata Technologies N.V. and The Jean Coutu Group (PJC) U.S.A. Inc., officials said. A certified public accountant, Hureau has had financial leadership duties with Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. and other consumer companies, the release stated.
 
“Bob is an accomplished chief financial officer who will uphold PPD’s long-standing reputation as a company committed to integrity, financial discipline and sustainable growth,” David Simmons, PPD’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “We are confident Bob’s experience, strong business mind and financial acumen will complement and aid PPD's focus on delivering value for our biopharmaceutical clients.”
