McCarthy

Dr. Tracey McCarthy recently joined the Brunswick Women’s Center practice. McCarthy will see patients at each of the Brunswick Women’s Center locations in Supply, Calabash and Leland.

McCarthy, who is a board-certified physician, relocated to the area from Michigan. She joins doctors Robert E. Hassler Jr., L. Joseph Swaim, Larry Wilson and Susan Kady Wilson at Brunswick Women’s Center. All are board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

“I am excited to join the wonderful physicians at Brunswick Women’s Center, and I am looking forward getting to know this community,” McCarthy said in a prepared statement.

McCarthy attended the University of Kentucky as an undergraduate. She continued on to medical school at the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Ky. She spent time in Wilmington as an intern at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and then completed residencies at both Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital and St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, both located in Pontiac, Mich.

“It is wonderful to join an established practice like Brunswick Women’s Center,” McCarthy said. “These physicians have a wonderful history in this community, and I am excited to become a part of that.”

McCarthy relocated to the area with her husband, Dr. Roc McCarthy, and her daughter.
