Area Bank Closing Oleander Drive Location

By Keith Larsen, posted Aug 27, 2013

TD Bank is closing its office at 3512 Oleander Drive, and will move into an existing branch at 802 S. College Road by Nov. 16, according to a  company spokesperson.

Lauren Moyer, TD Bank spokeswoman, confirmed in an email Tuesday that the Oleander Drive location was closing – bringing its number of branches in Wilmington from four to three.

“This was a difficult decision and was not taken lightly,” Moyer said in an emailed statement. “We evaluate a number of factors when deciding to consolidate a location, and make decisions that will allow us to best meet the needs of our current and future customers. This change will allow us to focus on delivering legendary service to our combined customer base in a prime location.”

TD Bank, which is originally based out of Toronto but operates its U.S. headquarters in Cherry Hill, N.J., serves eight million customers and is currently ranked by the Federal Reserve System as the 14th largest bank in terms of assets in the country.
