Trey Dowdy, chief compliance and finance officer at Dovetail Financial, has been named to the Comply Awards 2026 Rising Compliance Leaders to Watch list.

The national recognition honors emerging compliance professionals who are making a meaningful impact within their organizations and helping shape the future of the compliance profession, a news release stated. According to Comply, honorees were selected for their leadership potential, initiative,\ and ability to strengthen compliance practices in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Dowdy oversees compliance, finance, and operational functions for Wilmington-based Dovetail Financial, an independent wealth management firm serving clients through retirement planning, investment management, tax planning, estate and legacy planning and risk management.

"He is responsible for helping ensure the firm's adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting the systems and processes that serve clients and advisors," according to the release. "He holds the Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP) designation and has worked in financial services and compliance leadership roles throughout his career."
