Museum Names Gorham Chief Philanthropy Officer

Megan Gorham has joined Cameron Art Museum in the new role of chief philanthropy officer.

According to a news release, Gorham brings more than 20 years of successful nonprofit fundraising in corporate, foundation, community and individual engagement, focused on major and principal-level giving, most recently at University of North Carolina Wilmington.

She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and an MBA from UNCW, the release stated.

Heather Wilson, CAM executive director, stated in the release, “Megan’s deep experience in the philanthropy sector combined with her passion for art and museums uniquely position her to make a meaningful impact at CAM in the newly established role of Chief Philanthropy Officer. She will bring a wealth of expertise, knowledge, and experience to CAM and will serve on my leadership team. CAM explores the story of our region’s landscape and its people through visual art. Megan will play an essential role in CAM’s evolution.”
