Creature Theory Earns Design Accolades

By Staff Reports, posted Apr 22, 2025
Creature Theory, a boutique branding and design agency based in Wilmington, is making waves on the national stage with a series of prestigious design accolades recognizing its work for local brands.

The agency recently earned top honors at the national Craft Spirits Package Design Awards, GDUSA American Graphic Design Awards, and the regional American Advertising Federation (AAF) Awards. Winning work spanned a range of industries including outdoor lifestyle, pro sports, packaged food and beverages.

Creature Theory’s work includes branding, packaging and web sites for Wilmington favorites like Boombalatti’s Ice Cream, Icon Coolers and End of Days Distillery, as well as North Carolina staples Outer Banks Distillery’s Kill Devil Rum and Warehouse Distillery.

“These awards are a testament to the power of great storytelling and bold design,” said Matt Ebbing, founder and creative director at Creature Theory. “We’re proud to bring the branding experience we’ve developed with national clients to the businesses right here in our backyard.”
