McKinley Building Corp., a local commercial general contracting firm, has added two professionals to its team, according to a news release.

Kris Tucker has joined as project manager and Stephen Birtz (pictured below) as superintendent.

Tucker brings six years of industry experience in managing complex commercial construction projects from inception to completion, the release stated.

"With a strong background in utility work, he will play a pivotal role in overseeing key projects, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality, safety and efficiency," according to the release.

Chad Hodges, COO, stated in the release that Tucker's "extensive experience and exceptional organizational skills make him an invaluable addition to our team. We are confident that he will significantly contribute to the continued success of our projects.”

Birtz joins the firm with four years of experience in supervising commercial construction sites, specializing in tilt wall construction. Before joining McKinley Building, Stephen served as an operations manager and served in a combat deployment to Afghanistan with the U.S. Army. As the squad designated marksman, he was responsible for long-range overwatch and counter-sniper operations for an Infantry Squad of nine soldiers, according to the release. During his service, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge, the release stated.

“Stephen’s expertise in site management, operations, and logistics is exactly what we were looking for in a superintendent,” said Hodges in the release.
