Luigi Mendez joined Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear (CCLCF) as the new director of data and analytics.
In this role, Mendez will continue to work on the Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) program, according to a news release.
HOP is the nation’s first comprehensive program to test and evaluate the impact of providing select evidence-based, non-medical interventions related to housing, food, transportation and interpersonal safety and toxic stress to Medicaid Managed Care enrollees, the release stated.
Mendez previously served as data scientist for the program through the Cape Fear Collective, which uses data and capital to make community impacts, according to the release. He will assume a broader role with CCLCF and will work with the senior leadership team to design and execute data strategies across the entire organization.
