Wilmington-based nonprofit organization Going Beyond the Pink recently recognized two board members for their service to the breast cancer community.

April Scott, director of the Small Business Center at Brunswick Community College and outgoing president of the GBTP Board of Directors, and Tawanna Robinson, a clinical outcome analyst at Wilmington Health, both served for five years on the GBTP board.

Also, the Society for Integrative Oncology recently appointed GBTP's executive director, Kara Kenan, to the role of co-chair of the Patient Advocacy Special Interest Group, a two-year appointment.
