Norris Obtains Professional Engineering License

Zack Norris
Zackery “Zack” Norris recently obtained his Professional Engineer (PE) license from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, according to a news release from Andrew Consulting Engineers.

Norris joined ACE, a structural engineering firm in Wilmington, in 2021 as an engineer intern.

Neal Andrew, president at Andrew Consulting Engineers, stated in the release, “He is a leader in our company and will soon be a leader in our community. His expertise will be instrumental as we continue to provide exceptional structural engineering services to our clients throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.”

Norris graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering. He was born and raised in Wilmington, where he grew up in the construction industry working for Norris Construction, according to the release.

Norris' responsibilities at ACE include the analysis and design of low to midrise buildings, marine structures and existing structures, the release stated.
