Patriot Roofing Owner Recognized During Cape Fear MED Week

Stephanie Bolton, owner of Patriot Roofing & Exteriors, received an Excellence in Business award for this year's Cape Fear Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, according to a news release.

MED Week Is a national observance week created by presidential proclamation in 1983 to recognize the economic impact of minority- and women-owned businesses.

Bolton received the award "because she is paving the way for other women in construction, where only 2% are women. She Is also an advocate for preserving the history of Wilmington, offering options for affordable housing and connecting with other like-minded women in the industry who can help with the mission," the release stated.

According to the release, "Stephanie has changed the footprint of the business model since she took over ownership [of Patriot Roofing Co.] in 2019, after her brother-in-law unexpectedly passed away. She is a top professional and makes managing the business look effortless and has had 20% growth year after year since 2020."

Bolton is also president of the Historic Wilmington Foundation Board of Trustees.

Patriot Roofing has donated three roofs for Habitat for Humanity, the release stated. The firm also was recently earned the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Award of Excellence for inclusion and equality and named the Construction Services Company of the Year for the state of North Carolina.
