Dill previously worked as a reporter for the Wilmington StarNews for more than two years. There, she covered local government and development across Wilmington and New Hanover County for the daily newspaper.
She received several awards from the N.C. Press Association during her time at the StarNews. Most recently, she was part of the StarNews team that won first place in investigative reporting for coverage of persistent segregation in New Hanover County Schools.
