Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Names HR Vice President

Lower Cape Fear LifeCare recently named Jessica Beardsley as vice president of human resources. In this role, Beardsley will oversee all human resource operations for the local nonprofit agency.

Beardsley brings more than 22 years of HR leadership after leaving her previous position at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) in Wilmington, as HR benefits manager.

In addition to several HR roles at Novant NHRMC, Beardsley previously worked as employment and program support manager at Battleboro Memorial Hospital; customer service supervisor at National Grange Mutual Insurance Co.; and HR manager at Hannaford Food Drug Superstore.

“We are thrilled to have Jessica join our team,” Gwen Whitley, president and CEO of Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, said in a news release. “She brings with her valuable experience in health care human resources that will be an asset to our agency as we continue to recruit team members who will support our mission and our commitment to providing the highest quality care and support to individuals and families living with a life-limiting or chronic illness in our community.”

Beardsley earned her MBA from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and her bachelor’s degree in management and communications from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and Lower Cape Fear HR Association.
