CFCC Sustainability Technologies Program Earns Award

By Christina Haley O'Neal, posted Mar 31, 2020
Cape Fear Community College has announced that its Sustainability Technologies program was recognized with the Stewardship Champion Award from the Lower Cape Fear Stewardship Development Coalition.

“I'm humbled and honored to be recognized by the Lower Cape Fear Stewardship Development Coalition,” CFCC Sustainability Technologies program director John Wojciechowski, said of the annual award. “Not only is this a great achievement by our program, but it shows the great relationships we have with local private and public organizations.”

The CFCC Sustainability Technologies program is designed to meet the needs and challenges of the new energy economy, stated the release. The degree program focuses on the three areas: sustainability, building performance and renewable energy.

Graduates from the program work in a wide range of industries or transfer to a four-year college or university, officials said.
