A professional with experience in both real estate and technology has been tapped to lead the N.C. Regional Multiple Listing Service (NCRMLS), the organization announced recently.

Daniel Jones is the NCRMLS' new CEO, coming to his new role from the position of chief information officer for Cape Fear Realtors. While there he "was responsible for significantly increasing the quality of MLS data and ensuring members knew how to fully leverage the MLS Rules and Regulations to support their online marketing and transaction management efforts," according to a news release, which stated further that Jones "overhauled [the] MLS onboarding and customer management systems to support the growth of the MLS."

After serving in technology positions at two Wilmington companies, Daniel started his career in technology and real estate in 2003, serving as IT analyst for Intracoastal Realty Corporation, the release stated. He then served as IT director for Prudential Burroughs and Chapin Realty where he deployed the company’s first agent technical support system, according to the release. He also introduced a full scale, vast in-house technical training program to boost agent recruiting and retention ratios.

The NCRMLS covers a portion of eastern North Carolina served by 10 real estate organizations, including Brunswick County Association of Realtors, Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors and Topsail Island Association of Realtors.
