W.M. Jordan Co. was selected as the 2018 Engineering News-Record MidAtlantic Contractor of the Year, according to a news release.

W.M. Jordan climbed 10 spots since last year on the Engineering News-Record (ENR) Southeast list, officials said in the release. ENR is a publication for the engineering and construction industry.

W.M. Jordan Co.’s Wilmington office has grown 600 percent in the past six years, officials said.

“We are incredibly honored to be recognized by ENR. This is a reflection of the hard work, creativity, innovation and continued commitment from everyone in our W. M. Jordan family,” said John Lawson, W. M. Jordan Company's executive chairman, in the release.

ENR’ s announcement highlights successes in the past year, including the opening of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Wilmington Riverfront, its 60th anniversary and continued support of various charities, officials said.
