Recognized as one of the top 25 percent of home health care providers in the U.S., AssistedCare has achieved 2017 HomeCare Elite status, according to the results of a study by ABILITY Network, a health care IT company.
Each year, ABILITY Network compiles a list of the most successful home care providers in the United States, officials said in a news release. It recognizes home health care agencies that deliver outstanding care to their communities based on specific performance measures.
This year, those measures included quality of care, quality improved, patient experience, process measure implementation and financial management, according to the release.
“We’re thrilled and it’s been a great honor to be recognized among our peers. I’m pleased for the staff and am proud of how hard the staff works on quality outcomes for patients while striving to create a great patient experience," AssistedCare’s president and CEO Russell Herring said in the release.
Leland-based AssistedCare is a family owned and operated organization, established by the Herring family and has delivered in-home and community-based health care services in southeastern North Carolina for 23 years.
This is the fifth time AssistedCare has been recognized as one of the top agencies in the country. As a provider of home health care, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, AssistedCare provides rehabilitation home health services that include extensive nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, health aid services, and medical social services.
