Zachary F. Williams recently joined the NHRMC Physician Specialists-General Surgery Specialists practice.
 
Williams will serve as an assistant professor of surgery in the NHRMC Surgery Residency Program, according to a news release.
 
He went to medical school at the UNC School of Medicine and did his general surgery residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
 
“Dr. Williams’ experience as a resident in our program will provide invaluable insight into how we can continue to evolve and grow our educational offerings,” Thomas V. Clancy, NHRMC surgery residency program director, said in the release. “We are excited to welcome him back as our newest faculty member.”
